Watch as NXT Superstar Storms Out After Devastating Defeat

Wrestlers come and go in the world of professional wrestling, and it’s not uncommon for them to leave a promotion for various reasons. Sometimes it’s to pursue bigger opportunities elsewhere, while other times it’s simply for a much-needed break. Regardless of the circumstances, the departure of a wrestler can be a significant moment, especially following a tough loss.

This week on NXT, a #1 contenders match took place between Ilja Dragunov and Wes Lee. Dragunov emerged victorious, earning a title shot against Carmelo Hayes at No Mercy on September 30. However, the focus quickly shifted to Lee, who was seen clearing out his locker and declaring that he was “done” before walking out of the building. The exact details of Lee’s return to WWE television remain unclear.

If you missed the match, Lee’s announcement, or want to see him on a better day, you can check out the footage below:

Opinion: Wes Lee has come a long way in NXT, and it’s difficult to imagine that he won’t be back in a prominent role in the future. After an impressive North American Title reign, Lee has proven that he can hold his own on a big stage, and I’m excited to see what he does next. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him make the jump to the main roster sooner rather than later, as he has certainly earned that opportunity over the past few months.
