During an interview on his Busted Open Radio program, Ray commended Joe for being a credible threat to MJF’s title reign, stating that he brings a different level of intensity and unpredictability to the table.
In the interview, Bully Ray shared his thoughts on Joe’s impact, saying, “When Joe came out there, I felt the whole mood change. I saw a credible challenger to MJF’s World Heavyweight Championship. Not that Adam Cole wasn’t credible or not that anybody else hasn’t been credible, but there’s just something different about Joe. It’s just this feeling that Joe can take you out at any given moment. Joe being bigger than Max. Joe being a heavyweight that can really bring it to Max.”
While it appears that MJF may also have a feud brewing with Roderick Strong, Bully Ray firmly believes that Joe surpasses Strong as a big money match. He stated, “Some type of a credible challenger who is involved in the story is Roderick Strong, but if you’re asking me to choose between Joe and MJF, and Strong and MJF, it’s Samoa Joe all day long.”
Samoa Joe will continue his journey towards MJF as he faces Penta El Zero Miedo in the semifinals of the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator tournament on tonight’s episode of Collision. This match will undoubtedly be a crucial step for Joe in his quest to dethrone MJF and capture the AEW World Championship.
