The September 8 edition of AEW Rampage was taped tonight from the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, IN. Here are the spoilers:

In a quarterfinals match for the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament, Penta El Zero Miedo defeated Jay Lethal. This victory puts Penta one step closer to the tournament’s final match and a chance to become the next Grand Slam World Champion.

A video package highlighting the ongoing issues between Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara played, leading to Guevara confronting Jericho, who was on commentary. Jericho proposed a match to settle their animosity and then go after the AEW World Tag Team Titles. The match was agreed upon and is set to take place on the upcoming Grand Slam Dynamite event.

In a six-woman tag team match, Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Skye Blue defeated The Bunny, Taya Valkyrie, and Anna Jay. During the match, tensions rose as The Bunny pushed Baker into Shida, but Baker managed to make The Bunny submit to her signature Lockjaw submission hold. After the match, Shida had some words for Baker, hinting at a potential future rivalry between the two.

The Young Bucks, one of AEW’s most dominant tag teams, picked up a victory against the team of Matt Menard and Angelo Parker. The Bucks showcased their high-flying and innovative offense, solidifying their position as top contenders in the tag team division.

In another quarterfinals match for the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament, ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe faced off against Jeff Hardy. Joe emerged victorious, securing his spot in the semi-finals match against Penta El Zero Miedo at the Collision event.

Rampage, AEW’s action-packed show, airs every Friday night at 10pm ET on TNT.
