Nick Aldis Makes History as First British Wrestler to Capture TNA World Title: His Most Memorable Achievement

Nick Aldis, also known as Magnus during his time in TNA (IMPACT), recently reflected on his proudest moment in the company – winning the world title. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vilet, Aldis expressed his pride in breaking the glass ceiling and becoming the first British wrestler to hold the prestigious title.

Aldis acknowledged the irony of his achievement, as he had previously stated that he didn’t want to be known solely as a British wrestler. However, upon winning the world title, he received an outpouring of love and support from the British fans, who celebrated him as the first British wrestler to accomplish such a feat.

“Suddenly you are like all patriotic again, but I think both things can be true,” Aldis said. “That was a part of it I wasn’t really thinking about.”

During his limited return to IMPACT earlier this year, Aldis unsuccessfully challenged Alex Shelley for the world title at Slammiversary. The interview with Chris Van Vilet also touched upon Aldis’ famous NWA world title matchup with Cody Rhodes at All In 2018.
