At Payback this past Saturday night in Pittsburgh, Cody Rhodes surprised everyone by getting Jey Uso onto the Monday Night Raw roster. And we didn’t have to wait long for Jey Uso to make his first appearance on the red brand, as he kicked off this week’s show in Charlotte.

With a microphone in hand, Jey Uso explained that he reached his breaking point a few weeks ago after constantly fighting with his family. So he made the decision to quit. However, his departure from the wrestling world was short-lived as he received an unexpected phone call from Cody Rhodes.

Now, Jey Uso is here as Main Event Jey Uso, standing alone and ready to make his mark on Monday Night Raw.

During his promo, Jey Uso was interrupted by fellow Raw roster member Sami Zayn. Zayn wasted no time in expressing his support for Jey, stating that while many people in the locker room may have a problem with his presence, he is happy that Jey has broken free and is standing on his own two feet.

Initially, it seemed like a confrontation might be brewing between Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. However, they quickly decided that it wouldn’t be in their best interest and instead embraced in a hug, showing a sign of unity.

Of course, Jey Uso’s debut didn’t go without a hitch. He immediately found himself at odds with Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle, proving that Sami Zayn’s words were true – Jey Uso will have a lot of wrongs to right. But despite the challenges ahead, Jey Uso is off to a strong start.
