Veteran WWE Superstar John Cena is set to make a big return at the upcoming Payback event. Cena announced on the recent episode of SmackDown that he will be the special guest host for Payback, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow night. This news comes after reports earlier in the week hinted at Cena’s involvement in the event. Cena himself claimed that he only found out about the gig as he made his return entrance through the Gorilla Position.
While it’s still unconfirmed, there are rumors that Cena may also be appearing at the WWE Fastlane event on October 7th. Additionally, there have been discussions about a potential match between Cena and Cody Rhodes during his return stint. Cena’s comeback started on SmackDown and will continue next Friday in Hyderabad, India for WWE Superstar Spectacle. In India, Cena will team up with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to take on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.
