Tony Khan Reveals His Struggle to Package AEW All In and All Out Due to Inflexible PPV Carriers

AEW President Tony Khan revealed during a recent media call that he had attempted to bundle the All In and All Out pay-per-view events together, but encountered difficulties with the PPV carriers. The attempt to create a pay-per-view bundle across weekends was a dream of Khan’s since the ’90s, but technological and logistical challenges made it impossible.

Khan expressed his desire to find a way to create a pay-per-view bundle in the future, potentially utilizing streaming platforms to make it easier. However, the current landscape of linear cable, satellite providers, and pay-per-view carriers presented significant challenges in execution.

When asked about holding two pay-per-views within a week of each other, Khan confirmed that he had explored the possibility of bundling the events together. However, the PPV carriers were not receptive to the idea, making it unviable across all cable carriers.

“I really thought that would make a lot of sense, but it was not something that was viable across all the cable carriers. It’s not something that has really been tried,” Khan explained.

He went on to express his optimism for the future, stating, “I’m optimistic that, as technology continues to improve and we work with different platforms, there could be a different way to do that.”

Khan also mentioned his intention to provide fans with an update on the CM Punk situation once the investigation was complete. Additionally, he revealed plans to add several Ring of Honor (ROH) talents to the All Out card.
