Bianca Belair Written Out of WWE Storylines for Now

Professional wrestler Bianca Belair has been absent from WWE TV since her last match on August 18. Belair and Charlotte Flair defeated Bayley and WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY during that episode of SmackDown in Toronto. However, the post-match angle saw Damage CTRL attack Belair and target her knee, which was an injury she had been selling since SummerSlam. This angle was done to write Belair out of the storylines for the time being.

A recent report from Fightful Select revealed that Belair’s knee injury was not just a part of the storyline, but a genuine injury. Belair was scheduled to take some time off, which was factored into the creative plans. The duration of her absence is still uncertain, with speculations ranging from a few weeks to possibly three months.

There have been rumors of a potential heel turn for Belair, possibly aligning her with The Street Profits. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins recently underwent a slight character change as they aligned themselves with Bobby Lashley. However, it remains to be seen if Belair will be linked with the group upon her return. Insider Better Wrestling Experience previously indicated that Belair is unlikely to make a full heel turn, as she is seen as a modern female version of John Cena.

During her recent lengthy title reign, Belair received constant praise from within WWE. She was commended for her dedication to the insane media schedule and WWE Community events she participated in.
