Exciting Addition of Thrilling Match and Iconic Wrestling Legends Revealed for Impact’s Monumental 1000th Episode, Latest Card Update

Impact Wrestling Announces Mixed Tag Team Match for 1000th Episode

Impact Wrestling has revealed a new match for their upcoming 1000th episode, set to air on Thursday, September 14. The promotion announced that Frankie Kazarian and his wife Traci Brooks will be taking on Eddie Edwards and his wife Alisha Edwards in a mixed tag team match.

This announcement comes after Traci Brooks delivered a fiery promo directed towards Eddie and Alisha, expressing her frustration and challenging them to settle their differences in the ring. Brooks, who has not wrestled for Impact since 2011, made a surprise return at Slammiversary 2022 to support her husband, but this will be her first official match in over a decade.

The match between Kazarian and Edwards at Slammiversary 2023 ended with Edwards emerging victorious, but it was not without controversy. Brooks and Edwards got into a physical altercation both at ringside and backstage, setting the stage for their upcoming tag team match.

The 1000th episode of Impact will also feature appearances from The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) and Impact Hall of Famer Awesome Kong. The exact roles and matches for these veterans have not been announced yet. Additionally, Impact Hall of Famers Team 3D will reunite for their first match together since August 2016, although their opponents have not been revealed.

The special episode will be taped on Saturday, September 9 at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY. This will be the day after the 2023 Victory Road pay-per-view, which will also take place at the same venue. The tapings will include additional episodes leading up to Bound For Glory.

Make sure to tune in to Impact’s 1000th episode on September 14 to witness this exciting mixed tag team match and the return of several legendary wrestlers. For more updates and news on the world of professional wrestling, stay tuned to prowrestlingwars.com.
