Controversial Match Abruptly Scrapped from WWE NXT’s Latest Episode

There seems to be some uncertainty surrounding the upcoming match between Dabba-Kato and Tyler Bate on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. Initially, WWE had confirmed the match, but the announcement has since been deleted, leaving fans wondering if the two will still face off.

The feud between Dabba-Kato and Tyler Bate has been brewing for quite some time. Dabba-Kato, also known as former Commander Azeez, made his return to TV back in February during NXT Vengeance Day. He attacked Apollo Crews during his match with current NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, setting the stage for their ongoing rivalry.

Since then, Dabba-Kato has been involved in several high-stakes matches and feuds. He defeated his former associate Apollo Crews in mid-March and went on to engage in a feud with Axiom and Scrypts. While he emerged victorious against Axiom on the May 23 show, he suffered a loss to Scrypts on June 6. In a Handicap Match on the June 13 NXT show, Dabba-Kato faced another setback.

However, Dabba-Kato made it clear that he wasn’t done making an impact in NXT. The August 15 episode featured vignettes teasing his return, where he declared his intention to cast his own shadow all over the brand. And true to his word, Dabba-Kato made a memorable comeback on that same episode. During Tyler Bate’s match with Joe Coffey, Dabba-Kato attacked Bate, leading to Bate’s victory by disqualification. But the attack didn’t end there, as Dabba-Kato proceeded to decimate Bate and pose triumphantly over him.

The feud intensified further during NXT Heatwave, where Dabba-Kato ambushed Bate at ringside while Bate was supporting former NXT Heritage Cup Champion Nathan Frazer. Bate had to be escorted backstage by medics, and this interference ultimately led to Frazer losing the Cup to Noam Dar, thanks to Dar’s Meta-Four stablemates.

While the match between Dabba-Kato and Tyler Bate was initially scheduled for this week’s NXT episode, the recent deletion of the match announcement has left its status up in the air. Fans will have to stay tuned to see if the clash between these two rivals will still take place.

Alongside the potential Dabba-Kato vs. Tyler Bate match, Tuesday’s NXT episode from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando features other exciting bouts. These include Dijak vs. Eddy Thorpe, The Creed Brothers vs. The Dyad in a Steel Cage match, and a four-way match between Blair Davenport, Gigi Dolin, Kiana James, and Roxanne Perez to determine the new #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship currently held by Tiffany Stratton.

Additionally, the NXT Global Heritage Invitational will kick off on this episode. This tournament aims to determine the next #1 contender to challenge NXT Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar at the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event on Saturday, September 30.
