The feud between Dijak and Eddy Thorpe is set to intensify on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT. After weeks of back-and-forth, Dijak emerged victorious in their previous singles match on the August 1 NXT show. However, Thorpe has been determined to prove himself and has appeared in vignettes on August 8 and August 15, expressing his need to overcome fear and defeat Dijak. He emphasized the importance of his people’s dance, which he believes will help him find his life force and fighting spirit. Thorpe acknowledged that NXT is currently on fire and declared that he cannot be left behind. He is ready to face Dijak once again and this time, he will move forward without fear.
In response, Dijak appeared in a recent vignette on Heatwave and expressed his frustration with Thorpe’s distractions from his pursuit of the NXT Title. Dijak made it clear that winning the title is his primary goal since his return to NXT. He vowed to not only break Thorpe’s bones but also crush his spirit in their upcoming match.
WWE has now officially announced that Dijak will go head-to-head with Thorpe in their highly anticipated rematch on Tuesday night. The WWE Performance Center in Orlando will play host to this exciting showdown.
Alongside the Dijak vs. Thorpe II match, the updated card for Tuesday’s NXT episode includes:
* The Creed Brothers vs. The Dyad in a Steel Cage match. If The Creeds win, they will be reinstated to NXT
* Blair Davenport vs. Gigi Dolin vs. Kiana James vs. Roxanne Perez to determine the new #1 contender for a future title shot against NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton
* The NXT Global Heritage Invitational, which will determine the new #1 contender for the NXT Heritage Cup Championship. The winner will challenge current champion Noam Dar at the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event on Saturday, September 30
