Renee Paquette’s day takes an unexpected turn!

Filed under:

Today has been a challenging day for AEW backstage interviewer Renee Paquette.

Paquette found herself in a tense moment with Eddie Kingston, one of the participants in the All In Stadium Stampede, as she tried to get a word with him while his teammate Fenix was being loaded into an ambulance. Fenix had suffered a head injury from a crowbar attack by the Blackpool Combat Club, which is led by Paquette’s husband, Jon Moxley. The timing of Paquette’s attempt to interview Kingston, given her personal connection to the situation, may not have been ideal.

In another incident, Paquette had a sit-down conversation with Adam Cole. The conversation took a turn when Paquette included videos of Cole speaking negatively about his “best friend” MJF and threatening to attack him. Cole was unhappy with what he perceived as gotcha journalism and abruptly left the set.

Fortunately, the Young Bucks/FTR interview that Paquette conducted did not escalate into any aggressive confrontation.

It’s clear that Paquette has had a rough day, and while she could have approached Kingston more cautiously considering the severity of Fenix’s injury and her personal involvement, Cole should not have been exempt from tough questions. However, he was unable to handle the line of questioning.

Despite the challenges Paquette has faced, every day presents a new opportunity for her to try again.

Let’s hope that in the future, she doesn’t experience any embarrassing mishaps like the one she had during an interview with Edge at AEW All In, where she admitted to “crapping her pants”.
