Stratton proclaimed herself as the perfect champion and declared that she would not be losing the title, asserting that she is the best champion of all time. She then went on to claim that she is better than Bayley, Asuka, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte Flair.
However, Stratton misspoke during her promo as Becky Lynch has never held the NXT Women’s Title. McKenzie Mitchell later interviewed Stratton backstage and asked her about the comment she made about Lynch. Stratton addressed the issue, mentioning how “Twitter trolls” were causing a stir in her mentions. She acknowledged that Lynch was never the champion in NXT and dismissed her relevance, stating that while Lynch may be known as Big Time Becks to the fans, she is insignificant to Stratton.
Becky Lynch wasted no time in responding to Stratton’s comments, taking to Twitter to issue a response that could be interpreted as a threat to the champion. Lynch wrote, “I haven’t been NXT Women’s Champion…yet. #NXTHeatwave.” As of now, Stratton has not replied to Lynch’s tweet.
