AEW Fight for the Fallen Reaches 2.3 Million Viewers
Warner Brothers Discovery has announced the impressive viewership numbers for the August 16th edition of AEW Dynamite’s Fight for the Fallen. According to the network, the special episode reached a total of 2.3 million viewers, making it cable’s number one telecast in several key demographics.
The Fight for the Fallen episode, which aired on TBS from 8-10 PM, achieved a 0.96 L3 rating among the A25-54 demographic and a 0.81 L3 rating among the A18-49 demographic. It also ranked as the second-highest telecast among M18-34 across all television.
This live event, which took place in Nashville, TN, had a noble cause as all proceeds from the show went to the Maui Food Bank to aid those affected by the devastating fires in Maui. The action-packed card featured some of the biggest names in professional wrestling.
The Young Bucks took on Bullet Club Gold’s The Gunns in an electrifying tag team match, while Jeff Jarrett faced Jeff Hardy in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch. The highly-anticipated battle between Dr. Britt Baker DMD and The Bunny determined the final spot in the AEW Women’s World Championship 4-way match at ALL IN LONDON.
In addition, Wheeler Yuta and Orange Cassidy clashed for the AEW International Championship, Darby Allin teamed up with Nick Wayne to take on the Gates of Agony, and Chris Jericho delivered his answer to Don Callis. The event also saw MJF and Adam Cole preparing for their AEW World Championship battle at ALL IN LONDON.
One of the highlights of the night was Kenny Omega’s sit-down interview with the legendary Jim Ross. This segment provided fans with unique insights into Omega’s mindset and future plans.
