Chris Jericho Reveals Shocking Behind-the-Scenes Incident Involving Mark Henry’s AEW Debut Segment, Jericho’s Emotional Apology Follows

Chris Jericho recently opened up about Mark Henry’s debut in AEW and how his segment was shortened. The World’s Strongest Man made his first appearance at the 2021 Double or Nothing pay-per-view, but due to time constraints, his segment had to be cut short. Jericho discussed this on the AEW-some podcast and revealed that he apologized to Henry for the situation.

During the podcast, Jericho explained that Henry’s debut segment lasted only 30 seconds. While Henry was understandably frustrated as a professional, he also understood the need to save time. Jericho personally apologized to Henry and assured him that this was not a reflection of how things worked in AEW. He also mentioned that Henry would get a longer segment on Dynamite, so everything worked out in the end.

Mark Henry eventually had the opportunity to properly introduce himself to the AEW fanbase on Dynamite. He has since become a key figure backstage and on-screen, conducting interviews before the headlining matches on AEW Rampage. It was during these interviews that Henry coined his catchy catchphrase, “It’s Time For The Main Event.”

Jericho also spoke about his feud with MJF in 2021 and how he believes it helped elevate MJF to the main event status. You can read more about this in the article here.
