WrestleMania 40 Breaks WWE All-Time Gate Record on First Day of Ticket Sales

WWE’s flagship event, WrestleMania, continues to break records year after year. This time, it’s WrestleMania 40 that has made headlines, as it shattered the company’s all-time gate record on the first day of ticket sales.
The official press release from WWE states that WrestleMania 40, scheduled to take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on April 6 and 7, sold over 90,000 tickets within 24 hours of going on sale. This impressive feat surpasses the previous record set by WrestleMania 39, which had a total gross of $21.6 million at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles earlier this year.
It’s no surprise that WrestleMania 40 has generated such immense interest and demand. WWE has been experiencing unprecedented ticket sales throughout 2023, with events like SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, and Money In The Bank all producing record-breaking gates.
