Major League Wrestling (MLW) has announced a highly anticipated Weapons of Mass Destruction match for the National Openweight Championship at the upcoming Fury Road live event. Jacob Fatu, the current champion, will defend his title against Rickey Shane Page in what promises to be an explosive encounter.
The showdown will take place on Sunday, September 3 at the iconic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, with the event airing exclusively on FITE+. Fans can grab their tickets at MLW2300.com or the 2300 Arena box office, with prices starting at just $15.
The Weapons of Mass Destruction match will be the culmination of a six-month feud between Jacob Fatu and the SST against The Calling. The ring and ringside perimeter will be militarized with weaponry, and the ring itself will be weaponized, creating a dangerous and high-stakes environment for both competitors.
This match is set to be one of the main attractions of the Fury Road event, which already boasts a stacked card. The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as Alex Kane defends his title against Willie Mack. Additionally, there will be a Kiss My Foot Match between Matt Cardona and Mance Warner, and a Winner Receives a Title Shot bout featuring Maki Itoh and B3CCA.
MLW has also promised a surprise Mystery Guest for the Sessions by Saint Laurent segment, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. Other matches include “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams taking on Ichiban, AKIRA facing off against Jimmy Lloyd in a Street Fight, and a triple threat match between Kevin Blackwood, Alec Price, and TJ Crawford.
