Insider Scoop on Lacey Evans’ WWE Journey, Evans Expresses Gratitude to Devoted Fans

Lacey Evans, the former WWE Superstar, is now a free agent after her contract with WWE expired. This news comes after Evans changed her name on social media and hinted at her departure from the company. PWInsider has confirmed that Evans is no longer with WWE as her contract was not renewed, making her a free agent for the first time since signing with WWE in April 2016.

Evans, who was previously listed on the WWE roster, has been removed from both the internal roster and the official WWE website roster. She is now listed on the Alumni roster, signifying her departure from the company.

After the news broke, Evans took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support. She wrote, “[folded hands emoji] [heart emoji] thank you all!!!!”

Lacey Evans began her pro wrestling journey while serving in the Marines, as her Staff Sergeant was an indie promoter. She started training and working for Georgia’s American Premier Wrestling in 2014 before earning a WWE tryout in September 2015. Evans signed with WWE NXT in April 2016 and was later called up to the main roster in December 2018.

During her time in WWE, Evans had notable moments, including her debut in the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble, where she entered at #1 and lasted nearly 30 minutes. She also had a storyline with Charlotte Flair and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair before taking time off in February 2021 due to her pregnancy.

Evans returned to WWE in April 2022 and experimented with new gimmick changes. However, she struggled to gain momentum and did not receive a significant push. In 2023, Evans had a series of losses in her final matches, including a defeat against Zelina Vega on the June 2 episode of SmackDown.

As for her future in pro wrestling, there is currently no information available. Evans has started using her real name, Macey Estrella, on social media and adopted the nickname “Limitless Macey.” Fans will have to stay tuned for updates on her next move.
