On the Aug. 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho made a shocking decision to join Don Callis’ Family. After the intervention by the Jericho Appreciation Society last week, Jericho realized that he needed to be selfish and return to his roots by aligning himself with Callis’ team.
In a dramatic turn of events, Chris Jericho said YES to joining the Don Callis Family!
This announcement was made during AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen, which aired live on TBS. The official AEW Twitter account shared the news, along with a video of Jericho making his decision. You can watch the video here.
During the episode, Jericho was attacked by Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita, with Callis delivering the final blow by smashing a framed portrait over Jericho’s head. However, Sammy Guevara, who had previously walked away from Jericho during the JAS meeting, came to his mentor’s rescue. Guevara had promised to have Jericho’s back if he ever needed him, and it seems like that time has come.
Now, the question arises: Will Sammy Guevara be involved in Jericho’s match at All In? Rumors have been circulating that it would be a one-on-one match between Jericho and Ospreay, but after Jericho’s recent interview, it seems likely that Guevara will also be a part of the match.
In the interview, Chris Jericho challenged Will Ospreay to a match at AEW All In. The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 27th, at Wembley Stadium in London, UK.
