Logan Paul, the controversial YouTube star turned professional boxer, has expressed his desire to form a tag team with WWE NXT North American Champion, Dominik Mysterio. Paul believes that their partnership would make them the most hated tag team in WWE history.
The idea for this potential tag team was discussed by Paul on a recent episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast. Reflecting on their previous encounter at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, where Paul teamed up with The Miz to defeat The Mysterios, Paul sees the potential in teaming up with Mysterio once again.
“I had a crazy idea recently for Dom because Dom is super heel right now,” Paul stated. “Dominik Mysterio cannot get a word out. I’m telling you, he lifts the microphone to his mouth and the whole arena (goes) ‘boo!’ He can’t cut a promo and he plays on it, and it’s really working right now, they hate him.”
Paul envisions himself and Mysterio as the most despised duo in WWE, capitalizing on the crowd’s animosity towards them. He believes that their shared experience of making their WrestleMania debuts together adds an extra layer to their potential story arc.
“Logan Paul, Dominik Mysterio, tag team. The most hated duo of all time, the most hated tag team partners in the WWE, just crushing it, running through it because we have a story arc too. We both did our first WrestleMania together, that was both our first WrestleMania,” Paul explained.
Mysterio, currently a member of The Judgment Day stable, has been gaining significant attention as he teams up with WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. Their partnership has been praised as one of the hottest in NXT and the main roster. However, Paul believes that he and Mysterio could surpass the success of Ripley and Mysterio as a tag team.
“Honestly, I don’t know, me and Dom, maybe we could go further than him and Rhea,” Paul pondered.
