Next Tuesday’s WWE NXT Heatwave special is shaping up to be an action-packed event, with several exciting matches and a segment announced. The show will be broadcast live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.
The main event of Heatwave will feature NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes defending his title against Wes Lee. Lee earned the opportunity to challenge Hayes after defeating Dijak on this week’s go-home show to become the new number one contender.
Another title match scheduled for Heatwave is the NXT Heritage Cup, with Nathan Frazer putting his championship on the line against Noam Dar. The rest of the title matches have yet to be announced, but NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has confirmed that she will be making an appearance.
While not defending their titles, NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio and WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley will be in action. They are set to team up and take on Dragon Lee and Lyra Valkyria in a mixed tag team match.
Two other matches have been announced for Heatwave. Baron Corbin will go one-on-one with Von Wagner, and Ilja Dragunov will face Trick Williams.
