Exclusive Update: CM Punk Sparks Explosive Locker Room Drama in AEW!

More details continue to emerge regarding the ongoing locker room issues in AEW involving CM Punk, Hangman Adam Page, and Ryan Nemeth. Nemeth’s situation took a surprising turn when he was flown in for last Saturday’s AEW Collision TV event, only to be told upon arrival that he was not needed and sent home.

This incident appears to be a result of a Twitter exchange between Nemeth and Punk. Following Punk’s return promo, where he referred to “Counterfeit Bucks,” Nemeth tweeted, “Literally the softest man alive.” This tweet caught Punk’s attention, and he reportedly confronted Nemeth during the June 21st Dynamite episode.

Meanwhile, Page was brought to the show to film a pre-tape promo but was not allowed backstage. He had to find an alternate location to film the segment. After Collision went off the air, Punk took the opportunity to mock Page.

Contrary to previous reports, Page was not “removed” from the event. Instead, he was informed that the location for the promo had been changed, unrelated to Punk’s actions. Some within AEW believe that Punk’s post-show promo was influenced by individuals looking to undermine him. It’s worth noting that Page resides in the Greensboro area, where Collision took place, and he drove to the arena. Therefore, flying was not a factor in his situation.

As for the aftermath, it remains unclear whether Punk and Page have had a conversation following Punk’s texted apology to Page early Sunday morning.

Turning to the Ryan Nemeth situation, one AEW wrestler believes Nemeth was sent home because he greeted everyone at the hotel before the show except for Punk and those accompanying him. AEW VP Pat Buck made the decision to send Nemeth home and informed him that he would be working on Wednesdays instead.

Regarding Christopher Daniels, it appears his situation is tied to Punk’s influence. Since Ace Steel, Daniels’ regular travel partner, is not allowed at Collision, Punk reportedly did not want Daniels present either. This decision stems from the backstage fight where Daniels was aligned with The Elite faction.
