Must-See: Ex-WWE Champion Exits Summerslam Still in Gear, Defiantly Dodges Queries

Former WWE Champion Leaves Summerslam Still In Gear, Refuses To Answer Questions

That doesn’t sound happy. Like any other sport, professional wrestling is built on wins and losses. A wrestler winning a huge match can mean just as much as losing does to the person on the opposite end. It can be the kind of game changer that shakes up everything going on in a wrestler’s career in the blink of an eye. That may have happened to a former WWE Champion.

Over the weekend, WWE presented its annual Summerslam event, presenting an Intercontinental Title match with Gunther successfully defending against Drew McIntyre. The official Summerslam account has uploaded a video from after the match, showing McIntyre leaving the arena without changing out of his ring gear and refusing to answer any questions. There is no word on what is next for McIntyre in WWE.

It was a rough night. Check out the match, the aftermath, and McIntyre on a better day:

Opinion: McIntyre has not been back in WWE very long since his hiatus and now I’m curious to see where this is going. He is still one of the bigger stars in WWE but it might be time for him to move into a different area. This could be the start of a heel turn for McIntyre, and if (emphasis on that word) that is the case, it could be the kind of thing that he needs to do.
