Tony Schiavone Raves About Memorable AEW Collision Segment, Labels it One of His All-Time Favorites

Tony Schiavone, the veteran commentator of AEW, recently shared some of his favorite moments with the company. In an episode of his podcast “What Happened When,” Schiavone discussed the segment he had with CM Punk on the July 29th edition of AEW Collision.

During this segment, Punk revealed that he still possessed his version of the AEW World Championship and proclaimed himself the “Real” World Champion of AEW. Schiavone expressed his enthusiasm for this moment and considered it one of his favorites.

“You’re not gonna be able to beat me and CM Punk and Ricky Starks this last Saturday. That has to go down as one of my favorite ones. I really enjoyed that. I loved it, loved the whole segment. I loved that segment, and I loved that segment the week before, when we established that tag team match,” Schiavone said.

While Schiavone also mentioned enjoying his work with Britt Baker, he emphasized the significance of the Punk segment.

“But I loved the stuff I did with Britt, when we did the thing with getting our nails done. I liked all of that stuff, working with her. But I really think that that segment Saturday night was one of favorites, if not my favorite of all time, me being a part of it,” he added.

Schiavone also shared his thoughts on professional wrestlers’ reliance on social media. He believes that wrestlers sometimes rely on it too often. For more on this, you can read the article on Wrestling Headlines here.
