Tony Khan’s Ambitious Goal: Bringing AEW Library to the Max Streaming Service

Tony Khan, the president of AEW, has expressed his goal of expanding the company’s relationship with Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) and bringing the AEW library to the Max Streaming service (formerly known as HBO Max). In an interview with PW Insider, Khan stated that AEW has all the necessary components to succeed on a streaming platform and that he dreams of the AEW library being available on Max.

“We have all the bones for a really strong streaming platform. It would be a very strong addition to any streaming platform, and my dream is that it all lands on Max. It would be tremendous,” Khan said. He also mentioned that AEW All Access is currently available on Max, which he sees as a step in the right direction.

Khan expressed his confidence in AEW eventually landing on a streaming service, but he believes that the decision will be largely influenced by Warner Bros. He emphasized the growth of the AEW catalog, stating, “All together, with everything I own, it’s thousands of hours of great wrestling, and the AEW catalog has grown so much considering we started this thing from scratch four years ago.”

In a separate interview, Khan responded to Triple H’s comments about AEW being a “Secondary Promotion” during Cody Rhodes’ documentary on Peacock. Khan’s reaction can be found on Wrestling Headlines here.

AEW has been making waves in the professional wrestling industry since its inception. With its unique blend of athleticism, storytelling, and production value, the company has garnered a dedicated fan base. The AEW library, which includes memorable matches and moments, has become a valuable asset that fans would love to revisit.

By securing a deal with Max Streaming, AEW would provide fans with easy access to their extensive library. This move would not only benefit the fans but also enhance the visibility and reach of AEW as a brand. Max Streaming, with its wide subscriber base, would be an ideal platform to showcase the rich history and evolution of AEW.

While AEW All Access is already available on Max, it represents just a fraction of the entire AEW library. With thousands of hours of great wrestling content, the full AEW catalog has the potential to captivate and entertain fans for hours on end.

However, the decision to bring AEW to Max Streaming ultimately lies with Warner Bros. As Tony Khan stated, the platform for AEW’s streaming service will be largely influenced by Warner Bros. This highlights the importance of a strong relationship between AEW and WBD, as it could pave the way for a groundbreaking streaming deal.

As fans eagerly await the announcement of AEW’s expansion into the streaming world, Tony Khan’s vision for the AEW library on Max Streaming remains a tantalizing prospect. With the right platform, AEW can continue to grow its fan base and solidify its position as a major player in the world of professional wrestling.
