Kurt Angle Opens Up About Chris Benoit
In a recent Q & A edition of his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Kurt Angle addressed the controversial topic of Chris Benoit. Despite the taboo surrounding Benoit’s name in the pro wrestling world, Angle believes it is important to discuss him due to his living son who idolizes him.
Angle acknowledges that there is no excuse for what Benoit did to his family, but he wants to consider the impact it would have on his son if his name is completely disregarded. “I don’t want to talk about Chris Benoit because he’s a piece of shit and what he did to his family is horrible,” Angle said, “What is that going to do for that kid?”
While Angle does not condone Benoit’s actions, he recognizes his talent as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Despite receiving negative feedback on social media when discussing Benoit, Angle stands by his statement that Benoit was the best in-ring performer he has ever worked with.
