Tony D’Angelo and his underboss, Stacks, found themselves in a tight spot as D’Angelo was locked up. In a surprising turn of events, Stacks made a deal with Gallus to secure D’Angelo’s release. However, it was all a swerve as Stacks managed to defeat Joe Coffey and earn a shot at the tag team titles.
This thrilling encounter took place at the Great American Bash Premium Live Event in Cedar Park, Texas on Sunday, July 30, 2023.
The match itself was a standard tag team affair, with nothing particularly extraordinary from either side. Towards the end, Gallus attempted to cheat, but the referee caught on and put an end to their shenanigans. It was during this distraction that The Don, representing The Family, cunningly used Gallus’ own weapon against them.
As they say, “The Family is gonna do what The Family is gonna do.”
Shortly after, The Don and Stacks sealed the deal with a pinfall victory, finally granting Tony D’Angelo a taste of gold in NXT.
