AEW Collision took place live from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and it was a night filled with intense action and surprising moments. In the main event, Andrade El Idolo defended his mask in a thrilling ladder match against AEW World Trios Champion Buddy Matthews. The match had fans on the edge of their seats as both competitors gave it their all to secure the victory.
The match started with a bang as Andrade sent Matthews crashing to the floor, followed by a spectacular moonsault from a ladder. In a stunning turn of events, Andrade fought off both Hart and Matthews, sending them crashing through a table. With his opponents incapacitated, Andrade climbed the ladder and secured the win by retrieving his mask.
In the aftermath of the match, Andrade celebrated his victory and raised his mask high, solidifying his status as one of AEW’s top competitors.
In other notable matches of the night, Darby Allin emerged victorious in a hard-fought battle against Minoru Suzuki. Allin showcased his high-flying abilities and resilience, ultimately countering Suzuki’s offense and securing the pinfall victory.

Punk addressed the controversy surrounding him and Ricky Starks while teasing a potential match at Wembley Stadium for AEW All In. Punk then unveiled a surprise, pulling out the AEW World Title from his bag and declaring himself the “Real World’s Champion.”
Punk’s declaration ignited a confrontation with Starks, who claimed to be the true face of AEW Collision and the real World Champion. The two competitors traded barbs, with Punk suggesting a title shot for Starks with a special referee. The legendary Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat was revealed as the special referee, setting the stage for an explosive match next week.
