WWE Resurrects Iconic Event in Exciting New Format

After a few years away, WWE has announced the return of a classic event in a new form. During the media call for this weekend’s Great American Bash, WWE executive Shawn Michaels revealed that NXT’s next premium live event will be No Mercy on September 30 at the Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield, California. No matches have been announced for the show yet.

No Mercy has a rich history in WWE, having been presented as a regular premium live event from 1999-2008 and again from 2016-2017. It’s exciting to see WWE bringing back some of these shows as they have a long catalog of events to choose from. No Mercy is a solid choice for a generic show title and avoids the risk of introducing a new name that may not resonate with fans.

For those unfamiliar with No Mercy, you can check out some of the previous editions of the event here. These videos provide a glimpse into the history and excitement surrounding the event.

As a wrestling fan, it’s always interesting to speculate on what matches and moments we might see at a revived event like No Mercy. What do you think of the name? What matches or storylines would you like to see on the card? Let us know in the comments below.
