Buff Bagwell Breaks Silence on Shocking Arrest Incident

Former WCW star Marcus “Buff” Bagwell was arrested in Cobb County, Georgia on Thursday, July 13. Bagwell, who has been working on his sobriety, was charged with misdemeanor Speeding and misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.

According to online jail records, Bagwell was released on Saturday, July 15 after being credited with time served. However, Bagwell clarified on Twitter that the arrest was related to an offense from years ago and that he has been sober for 11 months.

In a tweet, Bagwell said, “Just wanted to clarify to everyone that I am 11 months sober (tomorrow). I see there is news out that I had to spend time in jail for a DUI but this was from the original offense years ago. I did get a recent sanction because I didn’t document a recent trip out of state properly.”

Bagwell has been open about his struggles with addiction and legal issues in recent years. However, he has been working on turning his life around and has been receiving support from WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page since May 2022.

It is important to note that Bagwell’s recent arrest was not due to a new offense, but rather a consequence of not properly documenting a trip out of state. Bagwell’s commitment to his sobriety journey is commendable, and it is clear that he is taking steps to improve his life.

We wish Bagwell continued success in his recovery and hope that he can overcome these challenges. It is always inspiring to see individuals in the wrestling industry working towards personal growth and positive change.
