Drew McIntyre’s Surprising Absence from Upcoming RAW Revealed – Exciting Collaboration with WWE Icon

Drew McIntyre, one of the top stars in WWE, made an announcement on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW that he will not be appearing on next week’s show due to “company business.” While no further details were provided at the time, it has now been reported that McIntyre has landed a role in a new movie called “The Killer’s Game,” which is being produced by Lionsgate.

According to a report from PWInsider, McIntyre has booked an outside gig through WWE and will be filming for the project next week. “The Killer’s Game” is an action comedy that will also feature WWE Legend Batista, along with Ice Cube, Ben Kingsley, and Sofia Boutella. The film is based on Jay Bonansinga’s novel and follows the story of veteran assassin Joe Flood (played by Batista) who, after being diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, authorizes a kill on himself to avoid the pain that is expected to follow. However, he later discovers that he was misdiagnosed and must now fend off an army of former colleagues who are trying to kill him.

The movie is set to begin filming in Budapest this summer, with JJ Perry serving as the director. Batista and Jonathan Meisner will executive produce for Dogbone Entertainment, alongside Scott Lambert. Jake Katofsky and Vanessa Humphrey will serve as co-producers. Andrew Lazar from Mad Chance and Steve Richards from Endurance Media will produce the film, with financing from Kia Jam. As of now, no release date has been announced.

While it is unclear how much time McIntyre will be away from WWE programming due to his involvement in the film, he is still expected to challenge WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER at the upcoming SummerSlam event on Saturday, August 5 in Detroit.
