AEW TBS Champion Kris Statlander is set to defend her title against Anna Jay during tomorrow’s AEW Dynamite. This comes after Statlander retained her title over Jay in a match that took place during last Friday’s AEW House Rules live event. Statlander operates as an Open Challenge champion, and Jay demanded a rematch for Dynamite which Statlander accepted. This will be Statlander’s fourth title defense since winning the championship from Jade Cargill at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 28. Statlander retained her title over Nyla Rose on the May 31 Dynamite, over Jay in the aforementioned House Rules live event match on June 2 in Tupelo, and over Lady Frost the next night at the House Rules show in Huntsville. Along with this match, there are several other exciting matches scheduled for this week’s Dynamite at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs. Jay White will take on Ricky Starks, and we will hear from AEW World Champion MJF. The Blackpool Combat Club will face CHAOS, and FTW Champion Hook and Jungle Boy will team up to face Dralistico and Preston Vance in a Texas Tornado match. AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy will defend his title against Swerve Strickland, and AEW President Tony Khan will announce the main event for the Collision premiere.
