Chants would ring out for all three teams before the bell, which finally rang with Shelley and Tanahashi in ring. Before the fans in DC could get too behind the Ace, Kyle Fletcher tagged himself in for the IWGP Tag Champions, and ‘Aussie Oi’ rang out through the Entertainment and Sports Arena but a drop toe hold put Motor City in control.

Okada would blind tag Shelley, but was punished for playing to the crowd by a Fletcher slam and Davis following up. The match began to break into chaos as everyone wanted their shots in; with Okada and Davis legal though, a DDT saw the Rainmaker take over on Dunkzilla. The Dream Team took over for a time, but the power of Davis saw him break free of Okada and Tanahashi and run through MCMG to bring in Fletcher.

The Guns gave up size but not speed to Aussie Open, and Sabin and Shelley would find the advantage against a now isolated Fletcher. The Aussie Arrow was punished by the STRONG champions, but Davis would find his way back into the match; Okada was sent reeling out the ring with a brutal chop from Dunkzilla and Shelley was dropped with a long delayed vertical for two.

A Flatliner into the corner would finally see Shelley tag out to Sabin after a long struggle to his corner. The Dreasm Team still couldn’t get a look in as Sabin ensured they were out of the conversation with a plancha before a missile dropkick to Fletcher; after Davis was taken to the floor a break for the Aussie Arrow finally saw a reluctant tag to Okada who took quick control.

15 minutes deep, Okada looked to build on his momentum, but a shot from Sabin led to tags for Davis and Tanahashi. The Ace went to the base of Dunkzilla, and with partners all around recovering on the floor, went for a Texas Cloverleaf; stereo submissions with the Money Clip were broken up, and Aussie Open took advantage of a microsecond opening to send first the Guns and then the Dream team back to back.

Dental Plan followed to Tanahashi, and the Aussies wanted Corealis, but Okada would be there in time to break things up, a Slingblade from the Ace setting for a Tanahashi High Fly Flow denied by the knees as Sabin blind tagged himself in. The Guns low bridged Davis and flew to Okada; as a pile amassed on the floor, Fletcher went for broke and landed a huge quebrada into the pile and the guardrail.

Aussie Open set Sabin but was denied by an incredible series of moves; with Fletcher now legal, the Guns landed Dirt Bomb but the Aussie Arrow incredibly kicked out. As the champions were beside themselves, Okada and then Tanahashi looked to take advantage, both dropped by Sabin and Shelley. Fletcher was dead weight and was set up for Made In Detroit, but the Aussie Arrow incredibly escaped; Shelley was dropped with Grimstone, Sabin Close Your Eyes, and then the Corealis saw double champions crowned.
