New Home: Rhea Ripley Reveals Change In Her WWE Status

She might not be around. WrestleMania 39 has come and gone and there were several important moments over the two night event. This included multiple title changes, one of which saw Monday Night Raw star win a SmackDown championship. That can create some issues, but now the new champion already seems to have come up with a solution to the problem.

At WrestleMania 39, Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion, despite Ripley being a Monday Night Raw star. Ripley was a guest on this week’s edition of the Bump and said that while Monday Night Raw is still her show, she will be taking a step away from it to appear on SmackDown more often. Ripley appeared on this week’s Monday Night Raw for a face to face meeting with Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.

It was an interesting statement. Check out Ripley’s appearance on the show (begins at about 32:20), plus Ripley on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has to be done and makes sense. While the rosters can cross over quite a bit around WrestleMania season, it makes more sense to tone it down a bit during the rest of the year. Ripley is a star in WWE and keeping her away from the other star in Belair is a good idea. Let Ripley become her own big thing and let that be on SmackDown rather than both shows.

What do you think of the idea? Who should be Ripley’s first challenger? Let us know in the comments below.
