What’s Next? Goldberg’s WWE Contract Is A Bit Strange At The Moment

No more? There are certain wrestlers in WWE history who have become legends in their own time. Those are the people who will often only make occasional appearances and then go away for an extended period of time. It can mean a lot when one of them comes back, but in the case of one such legend, we might not be seeing him do his most well known thing again.

Goldberg has not wrestled for WWE since Elimination Chamber in February 2022. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, he does not have any more matches on his WWE contract, but he is still under contract to the company. Therefore, despite there being no plans for him to wrestle at the moment, he is still with WWE and unable to sign or appear anywhere else. There is no word on when his current deal expires.

Goldberg is a force. Check out what he has done in his recent WWE matches:

Opinion: This is kind of shame as there is certainly a place for Goldberg in modern WWE. While that might not be in the main event scene or anywhere near the World Title picture, having Goldberg come in as a special attraction or a mystery partner or someone there to run over a middle of the pack villain would work very well. If WWE can make that work then go for it, as there is still a lot of value in having Goldberg around.
