BULLET CLUB retire Rongai in Dome

NOSAWA Rongai teams with MAZADA in last match

February 21 in the Tokyo Dome saw not just Keiji Muto but long time Japanese wrestling mainstay NOSAWA Rongai end his active pro-wrestling career, teaming with Tokyo Gurentai pareja MAZADA opposite his choice of opponents in Gedo and Taiji Ishimori.

Oft beleaguered veteran referee Kyohei Wada had his work cut out for him from minute one, as the Tokyo Gurentai side got a fast start on Ishimori. The Bone Soldier would try and create motion, but MAZADA would drop his foe with a poke to the eye and a DDT; Ishimori landing a quick knee to the jaw to bring about a tag both sides.

Still, BULLET CLUB would struggle against the Rongai and MAZADA combination until Ishimori, who had first met Rongai in Mexico some two decades ago, landed a sliding German and negotiated into the Bone Lock. Rongai refused to give to the hold, and the frustrated Ishimori released the lock; an emotional Bone Soldier hesitated, and at the command of Gedo and encuragement of the retiring veteran, landed the Bloody Cross to end Rongai’s career.
